Among the most talked-about podcasts over the last year has been “The Mel Robbins Podcast.” While it launched in 2022, it enjoyed an incredible burst of publicity and momentum timed to the release of her best-selling book “The Let Them Theory” in December of last year. Edison Podcast Metrics has chronicled the swift and enormous growth of this show among weekly U.S. podcast listeners 13+, climbing from 121st in Q2 2024 to 11th overall in our most recent update.
Beyond that overall rank, the Mel Robbins Podcast overdelivers within certain sought-after demographic groups for advertisers. As the nearby graphic shows, the show indexes at 242 for women with an annual household income over $75,000 (where it ranks 6th overall). The show indexes at 221 for women with a college or graduate degree.
Edison Podcast Metrics not only illustrates the total size of a show’s audience , it tells producers, networks, and advertisers who is consuming the podcast across a large number of demographic and qualitative parameters. Specific show profiles are available to subscribers for the 550 largest shows, and next month we will debut modeled profiles for smaller shows. All the results are based on over 80,000 interviews we have done with American podcast listeners, a dataset unlike any other available.
Edison Podcast Metrics is an essential tool for understanding your podcast’s audience and attracting potential advertisers to your shows. Visit our website here to learn more about becoming a subscriber.
