We interrupt our regular weekly newsletter schedule to bring you the following events where we’d love to connect with you either in person or virtually as we present detailed insights from various studies.
Today: Join us for our latest thought leadership project, Hit Play, Boomer! Podcasting’s Age 55+ Opportunity from Edison Research and NPR at 2pm ET. Edison Research’s resident Boomer, President Larry Rosin, will present findings which include clips from new, in-depth interviews with Boomers on their podcast listening (and non-listening) habits.
Sunday: Join us at the North American Broadcasters Association panel at the NAB Show in Las Vegas at 10am as we present data on in-car audio habits. For more information: Broadcasters and Hybrid Radio – It’s all about the Metadata
Tuesday: Join us at the NAB Show in Las Vegas at 11:30am as we participate in Gen Z Meets the Connected Car and the Winner is…Radio where we will present highlights of in-car audio and radio consumption
And because we couldn’t call this an “Insights” email and not include an insight, we share this with you, from the “Hit Play, Boomer! Podcasting’s Age 55+ Opportunity” report that will debut today, April 13 at 2pm Eastern:
Although the percentage of Boomers who have ever listened to a podcast has increased since 2018, that number has not increased as quickly as the growth among younger Americans. As such the ‘listening gap’ for podcasting has grown. Today’s webinar will look at what is holding back podcast listening among those age 55 and older and what can be done about it. We hope to see you there.
