About Edison Research
Edison Research was founded in 1994 as a media research company, conducting audience and content analysis for broadcasting entities all over the globe. In 2003, the company became the sole provider of exit polling data to the television networks comprising the National Election Pool, and has served continuously in that capacity for all U.S. general elections since then, as well as hundreds of important primaries and caucuses and other election events both in America and abroad. We also tap into our 20,000-strong national network of trained exit poll interviewers to conduct place-based research for all manner of digital and traditional out of home advertisers.

Edison Research’s The Infinite Dial® research series has been the survey of record for digital audio, social media, podcasting, smart speakers, and other media-related technologies since 1998. In 2014,  the company introduced Share of Ear®, a quarterly survey that serves as the only single-source measure of all audio in the U.S., and added the Podcast Consumer Tracker to measure the reach of national podcast producers and related consumer behavior in 2019.

Since 2004, as the sole provider of Election Day Polling data to the National Election Pool, Edison Research has conducted exit polls to project and analyze results for every major presidential primary and general election. Our work continues for the 2020 U.S. elections, with Edison Research providing exit polls and tabulating the national vote across every county in the United States for ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News.

Edison Research Offices
Edison Research is located at 6 West Cliff Street and 14 West Cliff Street in Somerville, NJ. Our campus consists of adjacent buildings; a renovated historic Victorian home and a recently acquired and renovated structure from the 1920s connected by a courtyard. The outside space at Edison Research features a majestic 140-year-old Magnolia tree and serves as an outdoor meeting location and work spot in warmer months.
 

The facilities accommodate 40 full-time employees and include offices which are the hub of the research that the company produces. The 14 W. Cliff Street building is home to a studio where qualitative interviews are conducted and web presentations are live-streamed. Edison Research is proud to offer workplace charging for plug-in electric vehicles.  

The Edison Research offices are located within walking distance to downtown Somerville’s lively Main Street, named one of New Jersey’s best downtown areas, and are easily accessible via train from Newark or Manhattan.
