Edison Media Research's main office is in a converted Victorian house in Somerville, New Jersey. It was built in the early 1870s and was certainly a mansion in its day.
The house sits on an interesting site two blocks from the County Court House for Somerset County New Jersey, on the highest point in the town. Before the house was built, the site was the location of the County gallows. Thus, the spot is known as "Hangman's Hill" and people to this day refer to "The House on Hangman's Hill."
There are also many rumors that the house is haunted. However, Edison moved in over seven years ago, and no ghosts have yet emerged. Sure we get the occasional noise or squeak, but we assume this is just the house's natural movement...or is it?
Anyhow, "this old house" has proved to be a wonderful place to work. Come visit sometime!
